PHYTOSANITARY REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMODITIES GRANTED MARKET ACCESS THROUGH PLANT QUARANTINE BILATERAL NEGOTIATION 2011.


Japan

1. Banana Fresh
• Phytosanitary Certificate.
• No treatment is required but must be free from any pest and disease.
• Fruits with immature and green skin

2. Cempedak Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• Whole fruit or loose pulp to bestore at -17.8%C or below

3. Coconut Fresh
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• No treatment is required but must be free from any pest and disease

4. Durian Fresh
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• No treatment is required but must be free from any pest and disease

5. Durian Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• Whole fruit or loose pulp to bestore at -17.8%C or below

6. Jackfruit Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• Whole fruit or loose pulp to bestore at -17.8%C or below

7. Mangosteen Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• Whole fruit or loose pulp to bestore at -17.8%C or below

8. Harumanis Mango
• Phytosanitary certificate that issued by Inspection Officer from Department of Agriculture, Malaysia and endorsed by Inspection Officer Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) Japan
• Fruit from farm registered with Department of Agriculture, Malaysia and has conducted effective pest control measures;
• Vapour Heat Treatment (core temperature of 46.5°C for 20 minute) at treatment centre registered with Department of Agriculture, Malaysia and approved by MAFF , Japan

1. Banana Fresh

• Packaging house must be registered with Department of Agriculture Malaysia
• No treatment is required but must be free from any pest and disease


3. Durian Fresh
• Under Negotiation

4. Durian Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate and Health Certificate (produce by Ministry of Health, Malaysia)
• Loose pulp frozen at -30°C for 30 Minutes and stored and exported at -18°C or less,
• Fruits from farm registered with Department of Agriculture Malaysia and the farm should implement Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) and Intergrated Pest Management (IPM)
• Processing centre must be registered with Department of Agriculture Malaysia and implement Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The processing plant will be inspected and approved by AQSIQ China.

3. Honey Dew
• Subject to inspection by Canada Food Inspection Agency
• No treatment is required but must be free from spoil, pests. Leaves and/or plant debris

4. Jackfruit Fresh
• Subject to inspection by Canada Food Inspection Agency
• No treatment is required but must be free from spoil, pests. Leaves and/or plant debris.

• Phytosanitary Certificate
• No treatment is required but must be free from any pest and disease
• Fruits from farm registered with Department of Agriculture Malaysia and implement Good Agriculture Practice (GAP)

4. Durian Frozen
• Phytosanitary Certificate
• Frozen Durian to be stored at 18°C for 7 days prior to export
• Fruits from farm registered with Department of Agriculture Malaysia and implement Good Agriculture Practice (GAP)
